Do you move the furniture?
We move sofas, chairs, coffee tables, dining chairs and light case goods, then set them back on blocks or tabs so damp carpet does not stain or rust. Which stains come out and which ones are permanent?
Food, drink, mud, grease, most pet accidents and general traffic soil usually respond well. Is any of this a problem for pets or small kids?

Keep pets and children in another room while the wand is running, mostly because of hoses and cords. Once the carpet is dry, the room is normal again.
